Diving is not a risk-less sport, and although it has become safer and safer throughout the years thanks to regulations and standards there is still the occasionnal exception that makes the news. Incidents such as the Yuri Lipski Blue Hole incident, Paria incident and various stories of Cave divers being trapped underwater feed the morbid curiosity of people. Of course, we can always learn from our mistakes and that is the primary goal of those articles: understanding what happened.
